The Mayfly is close to Stockbridge High Street, Winchester City, John Lewis water gardens, and many popular countryside walking paths, including the Chilbolton Downs, Cow Common, and famous Test Way.
The pub is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with some lovely routes to be found along the River Test. Just across from us is the Test Way, a flat and easy walk along the route of the disused Spratt and Winkle railway line - or for those wanting far-reaching views, there are the nearby Iron Age forts at Danebury and Stockbridge Down.
Just 5 minutes down the road is the prestigious Leckford Estate and Water Gardens and the local market town of Stockbridge - and if you want to journey a little further, historic Winchester (20 minutes) and Salisbury (30 minutes) are both within a short drive.
